THERAPY, EQUINE-ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY, MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS CONSULTING AND TRAININGS

Amanda Tallman, LMSW

As a therapist, I bring extensive experience and specialized training to our work together, particularly in trauma therapy. My journey in social work began over a decade ago.

I’ve since developed expertise in working with children ages 6+, teens, and adults who have experienced significant life events, including trauma from adverse childhood experiences, military service, and domestic and sexual violence. I hold a Master of Social Work from Arizona State University and have completed advanced coursework and hands-on training to provide support to those who have experienced trauma. My ongoing professional development includes certifications, such as being an Adverse Childhood Trainer, pursuing an Advanced Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist through the Arizona Trauma Institute and pursuing a certification at the HERD Institute for equine-assisted psychotherapy. My commitment is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to your unique needs.

In our sessions, you can expect a safe and supportive environment where your experiences and feelings are respected and validated. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic Experiencing, and Play Therapy, to help you process and heal from past traumas. I believe in the power of a collaborative therapeutic relationship, where we work together to set goals and navigate your healing journey. My aim is to ensure you feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout our time together.
